The best way to choose a name for your dog is to live with it a couple weeks or so and she what your dog specially does


Like maybe it looks like an actress or maybe it likes a certain fruit!


You could also try blabbing out names and keep the dog paying attention to something else like a toy


while he's playing with the toy you could say names and which ever one you dog responds to (Like running to you or turning his head toward you)


It's your choice of your dog's name!

You might want to wait until you get to know him better before commit to a name. Sometimes over the course of the first week or two a name will occur that will seem to be perfect considering his actions, temperment, small behavorial traits.....





I've always waited for at least a few day if not a week. In the meantime I call him/her 'sweetie'. or avoid using any name at all and just behave very positively towards them, but firm about rules. Firm about rules from the start . Firm, consistant and kind.

I know!!! that sounds crazy but think of it..how cute is that...maybe u should think of something that inspires you or something you love ..One of my dogs was called squeeze, one was parkay, the other was moo from mooo-ve over butter, but out of those names my favorite is Kodi!! good luck with ur new baby. I found mine beside the road and she has brought me so much enjoyment and I am thinking about breeding her with a jack russell!! Reply:I like Mikko, the other you picked are more common but I haven't heard that one! Its very cute, you can start a new trend. When I was little my parents bought me a maltese and I named him whopper because his name had malt in it! hahah
