Is the first name, Chandu, a female or male name? I know that it is not an "American English" name. What do?
Chandu is usually considered a male name.
In Malay, it means "opium" referring to the opium poppy flower, not the drug which is made from it.
It's pretty. Chanda (not Chandra) is Hindi for "moon" and Sanskrit for "goddess" and is usually considered a female name.
Both are pretty either way.
