Could these be used as GIRL names or do they sound to much like a male name?

For a FEMALE BOXER my hubby has thought of:


Deuce


Diesel


Payne


Felon





What do you think? Could any work for a female Boxer puppy?

Could these be used as GIRL names or do they sound to much like a male name?
I like Payne, the others sound more like male names.
Reply:My boyfriends buddies mastiff is named Deuce but he's a boy. I think the names "payne" and "felon" sound like fighting dog names and if thats what you two plan on doing with your dog you're sick. How about a normal name for your dog that doesn't have negative stigmas attached to it as that will only further alienate your dog from people who believe certian breeds to be "dangerous". I suggest Queen. Still kind of powerful, but without being negative.
Reply:Omg! I love the name Deuce! It is a bit masculine, though. But it would still work. I like Diesel the best for your female boxer. Diesel for your female, and if you ever get a male, you could name Him Deuce!


So any of those names work very well, I think.

Reply:They all seems to be pretty masculine names to me. I own rotties so I understand still wanting a strong sounding name but there are plenty of strong feminine names.





What about a name like Karma or Dutchess??

Reply:I love the names Felon and Payne, but the rest are a bit maley. But it is a dog so the name doesn't have to be perfect.
Reply:Well felon means cruel, or evil. Duece mens the face of a die that has two spots.Idk about Payne and diesel.
